There's something special about the rodeo. It teaches grit, perseverance, courage, and the determination to get back up after every fall. Those same values are at the heart of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and on Saturday, August 15, FCA Madera County invites the entire community to experience a morning where faith meets the western lifestyle.
Whether you're a cowboy, cowgirl, rodeo fan, athlete, parent, or simply looking for encouragement, the FCA Rodeo Huddle is a great opportunity to connect with others, hear an inspiring story, and enjoy one of the area's most exciting family events.
A Morning Full of Inspiration and Action
The day begins with the FCA Rodeo Huddle from 8:15–8:45 AM, where attendees will gather for a time of encouragement, fellowship, and faith before the rodeo activities begin.
Our featured guest speaker is Jimmy Summers, a Chowchilla graduate whose story is one of remarkable perseverance.
After suffering a devastating car accident that left him with a fractured spine, many wondered if Jimmy would ever compete again. Through faith, determination, and countless hours of recovery, he refused to give up on the dream God had placed in his heart. Today, Jimmy has signed with the Coalinga Rodeo College Team and is pursuing bull riding once again.
His testimony is a powerful reminder that our greatest setbacks can become God's greatest opportunities.
If you've ever needed hope after disappointment or encouragement during difficult seasons, Jimmy's story is one you won't want to miss.

Following the huddle, the action begins with one of the most entertaining family events of the year:
- Mutton Bustin' begins at 9:00 AM
- Approximately 50 young riders competing
- Food vendors throughout the event
- Family-friendly atmosphere
